It's now less than 80 years after the concept of a copy machine was brought to life by Chester Carlson, late in 1938. And it's not quite 60 years since Xerox took this idea to market with the first commercial copy machine the Xerox 914 weighing almost 650lbs!
Technology changes so much now, and it only seems to be moving faster every day. We're not quite at flying cars, or the paperless office (who knows when that will happen??), but think of how much our lives have changed:
- Cars are equipped with so much more than simple cruise control and anti-lock braking systems. They have onboard GPS navigation systems, collision avoidance that warn drivers, and some can even apply full brakes
- Typewriters and copy machines turned into networks with workstations with centralized printers, and scanning technology that can communicate almost instantly around the world
- From rotary home telephones and phone booths to cell phones and tablets with wifi and Bluetooth access and many new productivity enhancing apps every day.
This hasn't been lost on Xerox. We see the changes and we see the challenges that you face. So we've adapted, and from top to bottom we revamped our product line last year, to be a springboard to new innovation this year. Watch this quick video to get an idea of what I'm talking about...
